I used it with 7 friends. It was very clean and I had a pleasant and enjoyable time! The garden where you can have BBQ is a space that you can not see at a glance, so you can enjoy a private space ♪

This was a once in a life time experience. Rikako is a wonderful host. The location is beautiful as well as the accommodations. But what really made this stay special was getting to experience the local culture of the small fishing town. Getting the opportunity to See Rikako dive and have her share the history and unique culture of her community. She went above and beyond to make my family feel welcome and provided us with opportunities to try fresh sea food and local charm. We would highly recommend this stay and experience!

Quiet apartment with a great seaside view at a remote fisherman and Ama diver harbor town. The host Rikako is super friendly, helpful and quick in answering online questions and for this atrea important speaks perfect english, so it was fun to have lot of conversations and insights. I learned a lot about real life of fisherman, ama diver I got in contact and eat some local food. At the harbor I had my freshest sashimi of my whole travel and discovered some interesting good tasting local food. Don't expect a lot of action as it is a tiny village with few restaurants and mostly elder people, but very interesting for me as I try to avoid artificial tourist places. I will recommend this house very much. Many thanks for the pleasant stay and the tasty barbecue at night.

Nature is very beautiful!

I was able to spend it comfortably.

I enjoyed BBQ and fireworks on a summer trip with my friends. It was comfortable to have a full range of cooking equipment and BBQ supplies! The ocean view is wonderful, so it's bright to enjoy it. (In my case, I started in the evening, so I enjoyed the starry sky at the end while it was cool!)

(2019.08)

I used it as a base for Ise Jingu and Toba Aquarium. Because it is a remote building, I was able to spend time with four family members without hesitation. It is a local restaurant 5-6 minutes by car. There are several accommodations where you can enjoy seafood and take a day trip, and the Toba Observatory with a wonderful view is also nearby.

It has a reputation for being able to enjoy interacting with the locals.

BBQ is popular because you can enjoy it in a superb location with a view of the sea.

On this trip, I couldn't get active in the sea because of the typhoon. However, I visited the host workplace (Ama hut) and it was a good study for the whole family. About the work of Ama He taught me various things, and at the "Museum of the Sea" (5 minutes by car) that I visited after that, I was able to gain a deeper understanding of what I was taught. This time, on a sunny day I also want to experience fishing.

The location of BBQ while looking at the sea was outstanding! Furthermore, because it was near the sea and mountains, the air was fresh and the environment was quite refreshing. It was a wonderful place where you can feel nature up close. !!

We spent a relaxing time with four family members in the garden with a superb view (^^ ♪ It was a very enjoyable trip, clamming and fishing at night, and having a barbecue at night. They have everything you need. I was impressed by the starry sky that you can't usually see. I would love to bother you again!

Chartered inns are recommended for families and couples

It was used by four family members. They even prepared for BBQ at GW and prepared abalone. It was a really good memory. I fished with children at a nearby fishing port. I boiled the fish and ate it. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I am looking forward to seeing Rikako again. Thank you.

My friends and I enjoyed our stay here. We were surprised by the extensive amenities and the little touches that she has put in. There are also some tourist info (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication with Rikako was perfect and we did not have any issues checking in. Most importantly, all of us felt like it was a cozy home stay!

Me and my family had a really good time at Rikako's guesthouse. She was really helpful l and she showed us her village and explained us her work with Ama. The guesthouse is really confortable, and the kitchen is great and well-equiped to cook. And there is a beautiful view!

It is close to the sea in the great outdoors. The interior seems to be a ama's house. The children were overjoyed.

Recommended for those who want to spend a relaxing time looking out at the sea

Located at the entrance of the par road, it is lush with greenery, and the view of the harbor and the sea from the inn is superb. The inn is also well managed and comfortable.

Wonderfully unique experience amid the Ama diver culture. Our hostess, Rikako, is a amid diver herself. Rikako not only shared her personal experience but introduced us to many senior divers who warmly welcomed us. As three female travelers, we felt an immediate connection to Her guest house is in a perfect location overlooking the bay. Our group loves to look for sea glass and Rikako showed us a. perfect spot.

Rikako is an amazing host !! You arrive as a guest but leave as friends. She immerses you into a tiny fishing village and makes you feel truly at home. She teaches you all about the lifestyle of fishermen and ama divers which is very interesting. The views from the guesthouse are spectacular! We loved every minute and only wished we could have stayed longer. The love and respect for nature in this village is beautiful. Thank you for your sincere hospitality!

Rikako and her husband were wonderful hosts. On the first day we arrived, they took us to a local festival and stayed up late in the evening chatting and answering our many questions about the ama lifestyle over cups of green tea. The next day, Rikako Ijika is such a gorgeous village and we truly enjoyed our stay there! Thanks again!

The tour of the real Ama hut with the owner of the guesthouse

Emplacement génial avec vue sur la mer. Rikako est probablement la meilleure hôte que j'aie pu avoir parmi tous mes logements Airbnb. Nous avons passé un très bon moment avec elle :)

Just unique and wonderful thanks to Rikako !! When we arrived at the village we were tired and felt a little bit at the end of the world. All changed when the whirlwind Rikako arrived. And when she started talking, we felt in heaven: finally She is a unique experience, took us along with her team to see Amas diving and gave us precious insights into the Japanese society. She is a wonderful person. Note of caution for guests --we have to respect the Ama culture. First, it is the Ama-Team that decides if Rikako can take guests along. Second, she of course can only take guests along if the weather permits. And finally, the work as diver is unbelievably hard and she hence cannot be the nanny of guests. The whole region is, however, beautiful and there are plenty of things. one can discover on one's own. To conclude: A unique experience thanks to a wonderful person.

Many guests who are interested in Ama are visiting this guesthouse

Rikako san was a wonderful host. Although my trip did not coincide with the ama divers' diving schedule (be sure to check when booking if you want to observe diving), spending time with them gave me a rare and valuable insight into a part of Japan that many have not seen. It would help to have some Japanese language ability but Rikako can also translate between Japanese and English. The guest house was exceptionally clean. There are a couple of restaurants with walking distance, but you'll need to bring your own breakfast. I wish I could have stayed longer! Thank you, Rikako san!

Best host ever! Rikako is a really nice and kind host. We wanted to learn about Ama and she was the best person to go with. Totally recommend her place, its nice, clean and has an incredible view to the ocean.

We very much appreciate Rikakosan, Tatsuyasan's great hospitality and their deep, professional knowledge about the oceanic way of living in Ijika. Thanks to their kind support, we could spend amazing time, communicating with fascinating local people, touching their delicate culture ... Definitely , we're eager to visit Amarge once again, being looking forward to seeing those nice owners and their pretty cats in the near future!
